4 Things You Can Grill on the BBQ That You Never Thought of!

With the warmer weather finally upon us, there’s no better time to start preparing meals on the grill than right now! But in addition to steaks and sausages, there are host of other foods that can be grilled to make a delicious dish!

Here are some foods you may never have thought of to prepare on the grill:

Pizza

You haven’t lived until you’ve tasted pizza made directly on the grill. Somewhat similar to wood-oven pizza, grilled pizza has that unique smoked flavour that you simply won’t get from a traditional oven-baked pizza. All you have to do is top the pizza however way you wish, spray the grill with cooking spray specifically for grilling, and put the pizza directly on the grill. You don’t need a pizza pan or anything. The only thing is that you might want to make the dough a little thicker so it’s easy to remove from the grill.

Radicchio

Instead of serving salad the traditional way, you can actually grill the leaves instead! Of course, the type of salad you use will make all the difference – only thicker salad leaves can be used, or else they’ll disintegrate. One of the best salads to use is radicchio. It’s hearty, has a wonderful purple colour, and is delicious when served with olive oil, salt and balsamic vinegar! And it just takes a minute to make!

Corn

Who said corn on the cob needs to be boiled? All you need is your BBQ to make an entire meal! There are two ways you can choose to prepare it. You can peel the corn, lather it with butter, and cover it with aluminum foil before putting it on the grill. Or else, you can put the corn right on the grill without removing the peel. If you choose the second route, make sure to soak the corn and its husks in water for about 15 minutes first to soften them up.

Panini

Panini sandwiches taste unbelievable if they’re toasted on the grill just before serving. The best bread to use is an Italian loaf sliced up into sections about 3/4” thick. You can fill the sandwiches with anything you like, including pastrami, ham, cheese, and roasted veggies. Grill each side for only a couple of minutes, or else you’ll risk burning the panini.
