How to Make Fruity Tea

Tea is a great beverage all on its own, but sometimes it’s fun to add a little pizzazz to an otherwise traditional drink. Especially on hot summer days, it might be a good idea to put a fun spin on a classic to sip by the pool!

Try these fruit-infused teas this summer!

Sunny Tea

To make this concoction, use cold water and tea bags added to a glass jar. Leave it on the window sill to steep in the sun. To make a jar that’s infused with fruity flavours, add a 1/2 cup of fresh fruit, then make sure there are a couple of tea bags and enough water to fill a Mason jar. Let it sit for a couple of hours, and voila! A delicious, fruity tea brewed the natural way!

Black Tea

Considering the fact that black tea has a really strong flavour, it makes the perfect type of tea to add fruity flavours to in order for it to taste really great! To make this, select fruit that’s sweet and has a strong, bold flavor, like oranges, watermelon, or raspberries. Add one black tea bag and 1/2 a cup of fruit chunks into a Mason jar. Fill it to the top with boiling water, then steep it for 3 minutes. Take the tea bags out, cover the jar, and let the fruit steep in for an additional 10 minutes. Strain and serve.

Herbal Tea

Herbal tea is another type of tea that tastes awesome when it’s infused with your favorite fruit! To make this drink, add 3 bags of herbal tea and a half cup of fresh fruit to a Mason jar. Fill it to the top with boiling water, cover it, then allow it to steep for about 10 minutes. Strain it, then serve hot or over ice. Some of the best herbal tea and fruit combos to try include:

• Chamomile with raspberries;
• Peppermint with pineapples;
• Spearmint with lemons;
• Rosehip with strawberries.
